Muhammad Ali Names The Only Fighter That Could Have Beat Him At His Best

The legendary Muhammad Ali believes there was just one fighter in particular that could have defeated him even at his very best.

In the eyes of millions, Ali remains one of, if not the greatest heavyweight to have ever graced the sport, winning the world heavyweight championship on several occasions during his memorable professional career.

His crowning moment came in February of 1964 when he stopped Sonny Liston in the 6th round of their showdown to capture the WBC and WBA heavyweight titles in impressive fashion.

Ali would go on to enjoy a number of legacy-defining victories over the years, defeating the likes of Joe Frazier, Ken Norton and George Foreman prior to his retirement from boxing in 1981 following a defeat to Trevor Berbick.

In a video clip shared by BerranLee, ‘The Greatest’ made no mistake in naming Mike Tyson as the fighter that he believes would have defeated him had they locked horns during their prime years.

“I’m scared of him. He’s a real champ. [Tyson would have won], I was a dancing master. You are that powerful and so fast, if he hit me [mimics falling over].”

Tyson is also credited with being one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, with the bulk of his success coming during the late 1980s when he dominated the sport to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

‘Iron Mike’ remains the youngest world heavyweight champion to this very day, a feat he achieved back in 1986 when he stopped countryman Trevor Berbick in the 2nd round of their Las Vegas showdown to capture the WBC heavyweight title.
