The Arizona Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in California 18-16. They also battered and bruised them. The Rams suffered a number of longer-term to season-ending injuries.
How bad were the injuries?
Receiver Davante Adams suffered a ruptured hamstring and will miss six to 10 weeks.
Kicker Blake Grupe, who hurt his knee trying to tackle Cardinals kick returner Devin Duvernay, tore his ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
Defensive tackle Kobie Turner suffered a groin injury and will miss several weeks. He could be headed to injured reserve.
Nose tackle Poona Ford suffered a torn triceps. He is done for the season.
Those are four starters for a team now 2-4 and in last place in the NFC West, and this is a team expected to compete for the Super Bowl.
Things haven't been going well for the Cardinals this season, but this season for the Rams is close to becoming a disaster.
