Cambridge United striker Dan Efobi marked his Enfield Town debut in style yesterday afternoon.
The 17-year-old, who recently signed his first professional contract with the U’s, joined the Isthmian League Premier Division side on loan until January earlier this week.
And he made an instant impression, coming off the bench to score twice during Saturday’s 5-1 victory over Hanworth Villa in the first round of the FA Trophy.
Speaking after Efobi’s two-goal cameo, Enfield manager Billy Holland said: “He gives us something different. He’s very strong, and he’s the hold-up player that everyone around the club has wanted.
“We’ve got a lot of players that can drop in and be a false nine, but Dan is an out-and-out nine, so it gives us more options.”
Enfield, who are top of the Premier Division table, will next be in action on Tuesday night when they entertain Chatham Town.
