Penn State women's basketball looks to set a new tone for the program in the 2026-2027 season. Coming off an 11-18 season and back-to-back losing seasons without an appearance in the NCAA tournament, the Lady Lions face a challenging schedule with high-caliber Big Ten opposition and key non-conference matchups.

Former Penn State women's basketball star Tanisha Wright returns home to Happy Valley to take on the role of head coach of the program. Wright takes over the Penn State job following a season as an assistant with the WNBA's Chicago Sky. Wright played in the WNBA from 2005 through 2019 with the Seattle Storm, New York Liberty, and Minnesota Lynx. The five-time WNBA All-Defensive First Team player will bring an approach to a Penn State women's basketball program looking to return to being a perennial contender.

Penn State's women's basketball roster will have a brand new look this season with a number of new faces from the transfer portal and freshmen.

Penn State women's basketball will be featured in six nationally televised games via Big Ten Network. The Lady Lions will also participate in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.

Here is Penn State's 2026-2027 women's basketball schedule with updated start times and TV information where available. This will be updated as needed. Home games are listed in all CAPS. Big Ten games are denoted with an "*". All times are Eastern (ET).
