Luciano Spalletti said Juventus' 2-0 victory over Napoli was all down to his players, and he hopes the result will boost the team's confidence levels in the weeks to come.
Juventus returned to winning ways at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, with second-half stunners from Kerim Alajbegovic and Jeremie Boga sealing a much-needed triumph.
The Bianconeri had struggled to create many clear-cut chances in the first half, with Juan Cabal coming the closest when he struck the post from Teun Koopmeiners' corner.
But a moment of individual brilliance gave them the lead in the 70th minute, with Alajbegovic's superb shot from distance crashing into the back of the net off the right post.
Luca Marianucci received his second yellow card five minutes later, and Boga ensured the win three minutes from time when he bent his effort beyond the grasp of Alex Meret.
All five of Juventus' victories in this Serie A season have been accompanied by a clean sheet. The Bianconeri last achieved at least five wins with a clean sheet in their opening 10 matches of a season in 2023-24, under now-Napoli boss Massimiliano Allegri (six).
Spalletti pulled his staff members into a warm embrace at the final whistle, but he was quick to thank his players for their efforts that moved them up to 17 points in Serie A.
"They suffer along with me, they too work from morning until night," Spalletti told DAZN Italia, as quoted by Football Italia.
"I am the first to arrive and the last to leave, but they are usually there with me for most of it. However, the credit must go to the team.
"They managed to dig into themselves and find that desire to take the first step, to go forward, think positive, and then they managed it in the second half with a few adjustments.
"I think they fully deserved the victory, restoring some of the self-esteem in the football they can play."

Juventus have now won their last two Serie A matches against Napoli while keeping a clean sheet. They last recorded consecutive league victories to nil against the Partenopei between April and October 2012 under Antonio Conte.
But ahead of kick-off, the Juventus supporters made their feelings known about their team's indifferent start to the season as protests took place outside the stadium.
"We've just got to keep going. This is a moment we have to handle, then you can talk about what you want," Spalletti added.
"Right now, we must be solid, along with a stadium whose real face is that of the second half, fighting alongside the team.
"You can say Spalletti's no good, that player's no good, get rid of everyone, but right now we need to be united, and this stadium must return to being our fortress.
"Even if we don't make them that happy, we still need our fans by our side, so we thank all those today who applauded us and stayed with us.
"This is a moment where we need to hold hands and stand together, try to push forward and be positive, which isn't easy when there are so few of us available.
"It was a victory deserved by the players, who deserved a big round of applause. Well done, lads."
