Lukic sat out last Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Manchester City, with manager Gary O'Neil having said he was hopeful the experienced Serbian would be available to face Forest.

Providing an update, the Blues boss said: "He's not going to make it - Sasa will be out tomorrow. It's taken a little bit longer.

"The idea is that in missing this one he's definitely back with a group for a decent part of next week leading into Hull (away). We could have tried to push him into something this weekend, but that would have carried a risk.

"We're hopeful that by next weekend he'll be fully fit and ready to go. I'm keen to get Sasa back because he's big for us."
