Leeds United had to settle for a fifth draw of the season amidst a 0-0 lockout against a Sunderland side sitting bottom of the Premier League.

Leeds failed to muster a shot on target in the first half and, despite Noah Okafor and Anton Stach making an impact from the bench, the visitors did not do enough to win.

They sit seventh having yet to win in four games but having only lost once. Here are how the players rated.

James Trafford - Pushed an early Brian Brobbey chance round the post. Mauled Brobbery when one-on-one after a poot back pass. Later dived low to his left to palm around the post from Nilson Anguilo's effort before pouncing high to meet another effort seconds later. Passing wasn't always accurate. Another clean sheet. 7

Jayden Bogle - Weaved in and out of defenders when on the attack, the main outlet in the first half. Got in behind on the angle multiple times in the second but couldn't find a cross. Always positive. 8

James Justin - Held his ground but looked lethargic in the first third on occasion. More lively after half time, bending a shot just wide. 7

Jaka Bijol - Had blushes spared by Trafford after his pass back fell short of the goalkeeper. Made a great block tackle to deny Sunderland being threaded through in the second half. Won a vital one-on-one attack situation with 10 minutes left. Mopped up better as the game went on. 7

Tarik Muharemovic - Decent, keeping composure when pressed. Headed an effort from a corner on goal. Minded his guard well. 7

Gabriel Gudmundsson - Not as effective going forward in the first half. Largely decent defensively, though was sometimes left on the deck. 6

Ethan Ampadu - Ran a lot and covered ground. Threaded forward a number of dissecting balls on the ground. Sometimes left space. 7

Ao Tanaka - Won a number of tackles. Passing wasn't always brilliant. Mostly plugged the necessary holes but when he didn't Leeds were exposed centrally. Tried one from the edge of the box. 7

Harry Wilson - A bit frantic. Tried to get on the ball. Sometimes barged off it. Set-pieces were OK without being potent. Couldn't make an impact in the second half. 4

Brenden Aaronson - Only has 15 touches in the first half. Did well early in the second when he broke and played down the line before trying to backwards scoop into the box. Had a few neat touches thereafter, but nothing more. 5

Dominic Calvert-Lewin - Crowded out in the first half with little support. Put his body about, and was harshly penalised for this more than once. Saw an ambitious penalty shout waved away. Had no shots. 6

SUBS

Sean Longstaff (89' for Tanaka) - Forced a save and saw one blocked from a few yard out. Probably should have scored the latter. Came on too late for a proper rating. N/A

Anton Stach (66' for Wilson) - Drove forward centrally - something that had been lacking - and provided Leeds with an attacking chance. 7

Noah Okafor (66' for Aaronson) - Brilliant showing. Attacked the box to create a chance shortly after Stach's drive. Won a corner with a rasping effort late on. Pulled a ball back for Longstaff in stoppage time who should have scored. 8

Lukas Nmecha (85' for Calvert-Lewin) - Offered legs. Came on too late for a rating. N/A

MANAGER: Daniel Farke - Attacking thrust was absent in the first half. Wind played a role in the game but Leeds offered little to excite, gopinmg into half time with 0.07 xG. Okafor and Stach made a difference when coming on but Leeds have only scored more than one goal in a single PL game once in eight games. 6
