The initial SEC availability report for Florida football's Week 9 rivalry game against the Georgia Bulldogs dropped Wednesday night, with six players from each team landing on their respective lists.
For the Gators, quarterbacks Tramell Jones and Aaron Philo are both listed as questionable, along with running back Duke Clark. Head coach Jon Sumrall provided updates on the two signal callers' status Monday, noting that he is still figuring things out.
"Both guys are available; believe in both guys," Sumrall stated. "I'm not gonna name a starter today, like, I know that's probably been a big point of conversation. (W)e need both of those guys ready to play. That's what I'll say. And I do believe in both of them being ready to play."
He also noted that "Tramell, in full disclosure — I am not gonna tell you everything, but ... he’s got a couple of bumps and bruises, too, now."
Clark suffered a left ankle injury during the first half against South Carolina last Saturday and was seen wearing a boot on the sideline during the second half. He has not seen any game time since then.
Listed as doubtful for Saturday's game are wide receiver Bailey Stockton and inside linebacker Jaden Robinson. Sumrall praised Stockton during the SEC teleconference on Wednesday, noting that he is "really glad" he landed the pass-catcher through the portal.
"It just seems like good things happen around Bailey Stockton because he's a winner," he said.
Robinson could miss his first game of the season after producing 26 total tackles with four for loss, 1.5 sacks and two defended passes over the first seven contests.
Finally, wide receiver Vernell Brown III is listed as probable after missing the last three games with a knee strain that he suffered against Ole Miss in Week 4.
"VB looks really good. Practiced last week, practiced today; today is an hour-ish long run-through for us. But he looks normal to me," said Sumrall.
"Hopefully, he’s able to get out there and play some for us and add a whole other element to what we’ve maybe been missing," offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner said on Tuesday.
Georgia's six listed players are split evenly between being out or questionable. The former features wide receiver Thomas Blackshear, outside linebacker Amaris Williams and safety Tariq Green, who are expected to miss the game, while the latter has defensive back KJ Bolden, running back Chauncey Bowens and wide receiver Isiah Canion with a 50% chance of playing.
Regarding Williams, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart stated on Wednesday that "he's not in any shape to play or anything right now."
The Florida-Georgia game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and will be broadcast on ABC.
