Longhorns Injury Report: Status of Goosby, Simmons, Smothers, Coleman

The first official SEC Injury Report of the week is out and it has availability news about several Texas Longhorns before the game in Austin Saturday night against Mississippi State.

As we know, Longhorns offensive tackle Trevor Goosby is out for the season. Goosby injured his knee last week against Ole Miss and will miss the rest of the season. Reports are his surgery went well and he should make a full recovery. EDGE Richard Wesley is also out.

All-American EDGE Colin Simmons is listed as questionable. Simmons picked up a high ankle sprain against Florida two weeks ago. He was expected to miss 3-4 weeks. Being listed as questionable means he's about 50-50 to play against Mississippi State.

Three key Longhorns are listed as probable. Running back Hollywood Smothers, who has missed the Tennessee and Ole Miss games should be back Saturday night for the Bulldogs. Though expect Raleek Brown to get the bulk of the carries.

Wide receiver Cam Coleman, who landed hard on his shoulder against the Rebels is trending towards playing against Hail State. As is fellow wide reciver Kaliq Lockett.
