After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Alexander Volkanovski has revealed that he would be willing to vacate his featherweight championship for one fight in particular, and it's not against Justin Gaethje.
The UFC veteran defended his championship at UFC 333 with a dominant second-round knockout win over Movsar Evloev, who was undefeated and ranked as the number one contender heading into the bout.
The Australian fighter, one of the greatest fighters in UFC history, has admitted that he is closer to the end of his illustrious career than not, but is currently planning on continuing for at least one more fight after taking little damage in this most recent bout. There has been plenty of speculation around who his next opponent will be, too.
Jean Silva and Aljamain Sterling are considered to be the frontrunners for the next 145-pound title shot, with Sterling set to fight Kevin Vallejos on November 21st. But there has also been talk about the 38-year-old making another move up to lightweight for a third crack at the 155-pound title.
Volkanovski previously fought Islam Makhachev twice to attempt to become a two-weight world champion, but suffered a narrow defeat on points in their first meeting, before being knocked out in their second fight on short notice.
A bout against current champion Justin Gaethje has been mooted as a potential option, with Volk floating the idea of a 'super fight', but the American fighter is currently injured and has mentioned that he is considering retirement after winning the belt back in June.
While appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, Volkanovski revealed that there is another fight that is emerging as an option that is even more exciting for him, and is one that he would even consider vacating his title for.
“I’ll vacate the featherweight belt and fight Arman (Tsarukyan) for the title. There it is,” Volkanovski said. “I’m starting to get more excited for that than the Gaethje fight.
“If I was champion at lightweight, I’m fighting Arman. 100 percent. If Gaethje doesn’t wanna do that, I’ll do it. Me versus Arman for the belt. That excites me.
“Everyone knows how I do against wrestlers. Everyone knows I can handle wrestlers. I think he’s one of the best wrestlers and grapplers in the UFC, but you ain’t holding me down.
“I’ve got so much respect for him, but I’m getting back up, and we’re standing and fighting. He’s got good stand-up too, so that’ll be a fun fight. I think we’re starting to figure some s*** out.”
Tsarukyan is currently considered to be the number one contender for the championship after he knocked out Mauricio Ruffy, but he has previously spoken about moving down to featherweight for a title shot against Volkanovski.
It seems that both are open to fighting each other for the lightweight championship and a place in the history books, and the UFC just needs to pull the trigger to get it done.
