The Wisconsin Badgers have the chance to cement their fifth win of the season this weekend against the No. 15 USC Trojans.
That being said, USC is a tough task for any team to take down, especially a Luke Fickell-led squad that has traditionally struggled against ranked opponents.
Here are the three biggest reasons that the Badgers will struggle to attain their fifth win of the season.
USC is remarkably strong keeping the ball, the Trojans own the nation’s No. 16 offense in terms of time of possession, USC owns a strong 32:49 time on the ball. Despite Wisconsin’s strong defense, it will be hard to keep the ball out of the Trojans hands.
This is still a Wisconsin offense that ranks No. 96 in yards per game at 341.0. The Badgers’ 214 yards against No. 10 UCLA doesn’t signify an offense on the up, at least not a consistent one.
It is hard enough to expect Wisconsin’s rushing attack to exploit any defense. But if the Badgers are going to become complementary enough to beat USC, it’s going to have to find a way to take down the No. 29 rush defense in the last as the Trojans allow just 111.0 yards per game
