Bo Nix has some serious doubters to answer when the Denver Broncos next take to the field against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday.

The Broncos’ quarterback has received a lot of criticism following his performance on Thursday night against the Seattle Seahawks. Through the last three Broncos games, Nix has only been able to throw for two touchdowns.

Naturally, this has led to a lot of analysts and media personalities suggesting the quarterback has regressed following what was an impressive 2025 season for the 26-year-old. Nix’s return of six touchdowns and three interceptions through the opening six weeks is failing to impress many around the league.

Three 5-0 teams for the first time since 2015? It all hinges on Chiefs vs Chargers this weekend 👀 Who's remaining unbeaten the longest?

The 49ers and Vikings also hold a perfect record.

Former quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was perhaps the biggest critic of Nix on Thursday Night Football as he labelled the performance ‘disrespectful’ to other quarterbacks. This has sparked a lot of varying opinions with Aqib Talib furiously hitting back at Fitzpatrick’s comments.

The former Denver Broncos cornerback, Talib, has tasted Super Bowl success following his time in Colorado. His success in the league has provided him with the opportunity to hit back at Fitzpatrick over his own career after he heavily criticised Nix.

“Look, we talking about a guy. We talking about this is a guy who played for nine different teams in 17 years. He did. Ain’t nobody want his a**,” Talib said on Gridiron.

“We talking about a guy who only played for a team for more than two years once. That’s Buffalo, and his record as a starter in Buffalo was 19 and 35. That s****.

“We talking about a guy who played 17 years, 147 starts, right, and never sniffed the playoff game. He never touched the playoffs ever. That’s disrespectful to the quarterback position.”

For some, Talib’s comments will be on the money given the criticism being aimed towards Nix is not coming from someone like Tom Brady who has the reputation in the game as the best ever. Fitzpatrick is best known to some people for what he has done in the media since retiring.

It must be remembered that Nix is only playing in his third season as an NFL player and has come into the 2026 season on the back of a nasty injury earlier in the year. There is no doubt that Nix is not playing to the best of his ability currently but some of the comments have been extremely harsh.
