Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is not only a legend on the field, but he is also a shining example of a good man to his teammates off the field.

The 36-year-old Kelce has established himself as one of the most respected veterans in the NFL, hoping to win a fourth Super Bowl title with the Chiefs in the 2026 season.

One of the key reinforcements the Chiefs made to their roster after a 6-11 season in 2025 was rookie CB Mansoor Delane, who they selected with the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Despite playing on opposite ends of the field, Kelce has left an impact on Delane.

Mansoor Delane wishes his unborn son grows up to be like Travis Kelce

In a mic’d-up moment from the Chiefs’ Week 6 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, rookie CB Delane was caught on audio praising his veteran teammate, wishing that if he had a son, he would grow up to be like Kelce.

“If I had a son, I’d want him to be just like him. He’s got so much aura, bro”

Kelce has been a model leader in the Chiefs’ locker room, with his work ethic and continued success setting a fantastic example for the young players.

His success on and off the field also explains why a 22-year-old like Delane would want to have a son like him. But with Kelce being a world-famous athlete who is a multimillionaire and considered a gentleman, it’s hard to question anyone who says they want their son to be like Kelce.

Kelce has picked up 20 receptions for 299 yards this season and has converted two touchdowns in a season where his connection with Mahomes is no longer required to be the driving force behind the Chiefs’ success.

Delane has been a standout defensive rookie for the Chiefs, playing four games for 22 tackles (15 solo, seven assisted), two TFLs, one interception, and three passes defended.
