Barcelona lose Eric García and Koundé for Tuesday's match against PSG, corresponding to the third matchday of the Champions group stage. In fact, the Catalan will be out for around a month and, therefore, will also miss the Clásico. For his part, the Frenchman is a doubt for Sunday's clash against Real Madrid at Spotify Camp Nou.
The team landed in Barcelona early in the afternoon, after the problems they had returning from Seville due to the rain, and both players went directly to undergo medical tests. In the case of Eric García, the examinations revealed that he is suffering from a muscle injury to the rectus femoris of his right thigh, so the recovery time will be between three and four weeks. Therefore, he will also be unavailable for next Sunday’s match against Real Madrid, in the first Clásico of the season.
Koundé, for his part, was visibly limping as he got off the plane. Tests revealed that he is suffering from a sprain in his left ankle. He will not be available on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes, but he is doubtful for the LaLiga match against Los Blancos. "His recovery will determine his availability against Real Madrid," read the statement issued by the club shortly before 6:00 p.m.
In the case of Gerard Martín, who had to be substituted at halftime after being stepped on, it was not necessary to carry out medical tests. Everything therefore points to it being only a knock, and he should be available for the match against PSG. That said, given the limited recovery time, it remains to be seen whether the Catalan will be one hundred percent.
