Liverpool will be eyeing up a place in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals when it takes on Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday.

Andoni Iraola’s side moved above the Blues in the Premier League at the weekend thanks to a 2-0 win over high-flying Brighton, while Xabi Alonso’s team fell to a rare defeat at home to Tottenham.

The cup will present both Iraola and Alonso with their first opportunity to win some silverware at their respective clubs, with some big decisions to make, especially for the former, as Liverpool navigates a hectic schedule with Champions League commitments to deal with as well.

Whichever side makes it through to the quarterfinals, they won’t have to wait long to find out who they will face in the next round. Here are all the details ahead of the Carabao Cup quarterfinal draw…

When is the Carabao Cup quarterfinal draw?

The draw for the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup will take place on Wednesday, October 28.

It will be conducted after Liverpool’s meeting with Chelsea at Anfield, with U.K. viewers able to watch both the game and the draw straight after on Sky Sports.

Which teams are in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal draw?

At this stage, none of the 16 teams still left in the competition have booked their place in the quarterfinals yet.

In fact, only two teams will secure their spots in the fifth round on Tuesday.

There will be a League One side in the draw, with Bradford City hosting Peterborough United later, while there could even be a League Two team in the mix should Fleetwood Town spring an almighty surprise against Arsenal.
