Manchester United fans had a lot to say about Carlos Baleba’s first Premier League start for the Red Devils against Leeds United this weekend.
Michael Carrick’s men travelled to Elland Road on Sunday afternoon for their latest Premier League showdown with arch-rivals Leeds United.
The year football boots peaked
The Red Devils were in action earlier this week and Manchester United lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League clash at the Metropolitano Stadium.
Carrick saw Man Utd reduced to 10 men against Atletico Madrid after Leny Yoro was sent off and the Red Devils suffered their first defeat in the Champions League.
Was Rashford a victim of hype and unfair expectation? Or did he let elite status slip from his grasp?
Rashford was not the highest rated within the academy when he got his break. Fairness to the lad, he grabbed his chance. It feels like Rashford cares more about appearing to be a superstar, than actually playing like a superstar. He seemed to miss the fact that plating like a superstar would make him a superstar. Maybe too much, too young.
I think if everything aligned,he could be but he's not driven enough, for long enough.I only think he came bk this season is that we're in Europe and he can get his full wage, not minus 20% or whatever for not being there. He wants out,we should have sold him years ago.
I think Rashford was never that guy. He’s had a good career but never destined to be one of the world’s absolute best

Carlos Baleba made his first Premier League start for Manchester United after his debut last week in the 1-1 draw against 10-man Tottenham at Old Trafford. The 22-year-old midfielder, who played in United’s defeat to Atletico Madrid, stood out for his performance against Leeds United before he was pulled off in the second half.
However, United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, felt Baleba’s ‘frustrations’ with how his teammates performed around him on Sunday.
One Man Utd supporter tweeted: “Baleba [was] annoyed because literally no movement ahead of him. Those players are letting him down.”
Someone else added: “Baleba has been holding that midfield for us.”
“Baleba [is] so frustrated with this team already. LOL,” a third Red Devils fan tweeted.
While a fourth X user posted: “Baleba already getting frustrated with the lack of movement around him when he [has] the ball.”
A fifth added: “Even Baleba has gotten frustrated at his teammates’ lack of movement. He’s with the ball and looking for who to pass to and everyone is just standing in place.”
Another commented: “See Baleba vexing because there is no passing lane.”
“Baleba [was] begging for movement in front for him,” somebody else said.
Following the Leeds match at Elland Road, Man Utd will switch their attention back to the Champions League. The Red Devils will travel to Italy and face Serie A side Como at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Champions League kick-off for the Man Utd vs Como match is scheduled for 5.45 UK time.
