India's opening batter Abhishek Sharma produced a sensational innings of 113 off just 38 balls against New Zealand in the third T20I at Wellington in 2026. The left-handed opener's explosive knock helped India reach the 100-run mark in just five overs, setting a new national record for the fastest team hundred in T20I cricket.

India's effort ranks second on the all-time list of fastest team hundreds in T20Is, where ball-by-ball data is available. Only Eswatini has reached the milestone quicker, crossing 100 in 4.5 overs against Mozambique in Malkerns in 2026.

India's five-over effort places them among the fastest-scoring teams in the format. Eswatini lead the list, while Romania, South Africa and Australia also feature among the top five.

India's achievement is particularly significant as it is the fastest team hundred by a full-member nation on the list. Abhishek's extraordinary scoring rate played a major role in helping India reach the milestone in just 30 deliveries.
