"WWE NXT" Halloween Havoc is officially upon us, as spooky season in the wrestling world culminates tonight at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida! The card features two championship matches, spinning wheels and making deals, and of course, Danhausen, and as always, it's time for the Wrestling Inc. staff to predict the winners of each and every match.
We're coming off a strong performance at AEW WrestleDream, where we very nearly predicted every single match correctly, and that means we're rolling into Halloween Havoc with a ton of entirely earned confidence. Of course, this isn't the easiest card to predict, and we're somewhat split on several matches, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider this article basically a spoiler for the event to come. Who will win gold, or just plain success, on Halloween night? Let's get to the picks!
Izzi Dame and Women's North American Champion Zaria are set to go one-on-one on Saturday, but not for the gold. After weeks of Dame tormenting Zaria with footage from her high school production of "Wicked" and other photos of her past, Zaria offered to put her title on the line at Halloween Havoc. Dame accepted the match, but said she isn't going after the title, at least not yet.
The odd stipulation, or rather, lack thereof, is why 67 percent of us are going with Dame, a former Women's North American Champion herself. It's Dame's current mission to embarrass and expose Zaria, so it only makes sense for her to get the victory here, especially with no title on the line.
A Zaria win would mean this rather confusing storyline would be neatly wrapped up, but also wouldn't make much sense and it would feel like one big waste of time. Dame has committed weeks to terrorizing the champion, trying to get in her head, and if Dame defeats her in the ring, that only helps accomplish her goal. She wants Zaria exposed and broken before she actually goes after the Women's North American Championship.
This will be Zaria and Dame's first match of what feels like a series, leading to that eventual title bout. We think that Dame takes the first battle of the war.

In one of the closer races on Halloween Havoc, Naraku will face Shiloh Hill, with the former promising to unleash his mysterious black mist onto the latter. According to 67% of Wrestling Inc. staff, Naraku will be successful with it, too.
Naraku came into WWE this year looking strong, dark, enigmatic, and most importantly, like a future NXT Champion. The former NJPW star's momentum quickly halted, however, as he racked up not one, but two losses to then-NXT Champion Tony D'Angelo before disappearing from programming for nearly a month.
Needless to say, Naraku's WWE run hasn't panned out exactly as we expected so far. That's why we're hoping that Halloween Havoc will get him back on track.
The former EVIL already has a victory over Hill after spitting green mist into his hand and smearing it across his foe's face. Their next faceoff then saw Naraku blind the referee with blue mist and brawl with Hill as their match was ruled a no contest. Halloween Havoc will now mark their third in-ring encounter, with Hill looking to gain his official first win in their feud.
A third of the WINC staff believes that Halloween Havoc will be the stage for Hill to do just that. The majority of us, though, feel that the bigger picture — positioning Naraku as a legitimate contender to the NXT Championship once more — will ultimately take precedence.
It will be Halloween, too, which means the ghouls, goblins, and their "poison" will be lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce. So if you ask us, there's not a more perfect setting to let Naraku's black mist take full effect.

Zilla Fatu's introduction to the "NXT" Universe has been stop-and-start. It doesn't really feel like he's gotten a chance to really show what he can do, outside of multi-man matches and promos. For this reason, not a single member of the Wrestling Inc staff thinks he'll lose at Halloween Havoc.
Everything about the match points to Zilla defeating fellow nepo-baby Charlie Dempsey to prove who is nepotism's favorite son. Like his father before him, Dempsey is an odd fit in WWE. He's too much of a wrestler to be a sports entertainer, but he already seems to be a WWE lifer. While I don't think it will translate to much in-ring success, it will mean that he'll be the go-to guy for moments like this one. When Zilla inevitably wins, he will have no doubt earned it, as Dempsey can be nasty in the ring when he wants to be. He is not going to just lay down for Fatu, meaning we'll get to see how the trash-talking Zilla handles himself in a scrap.
It feels like Birthright is being set up for some kind of success down the line, but we haven't gotten down the line yet. For right now, it's Charlie Dempsey's time to squabble with Zilla Fatu and inevitably eat a Samoan Spike, or whatever they've decided Zilla's finisher should be.

Tavion Heights and Myles Borne will be given weapons and a license to go wild this weekend, the pair finally getting their hands on one another after the latter turned on the former at Heatwave.
Borne pulled the short straw as it comes to double duty during that event, losing the NXT tag titles he held with Heights and the North American title he held for himself. So he pulled the trigger on their seemingly inevitable split to precede this match in-which the weapons are wild, per the spinning wheel.
This will be the first time they are doing so while hating one another, but it isn't the first time that Borne and Heights will be going head-to-head. Thus far, they have wrestled a total of three times. Heights has won a grand total of zero of those matches, firstly losing in their "NXT Level Up" contest in 2024, then falling short in an almost twice as long match on "NXT" last year. Finally, he wrestled almost twice as long as that and once more fell short to Borne with the North American title on the line earlier this year at The Great American Bash.
That is to say that Heights is looking to break that duck and finally step out of Borne's shadow. But if you were to ask most of the Wrestling Inc. team, this will be not that night; 58% have predicted Borne will make it 4-0 in their saga. That does of course leave 42% believing Heights can finally do it, perhaps hopeful of catharsis for the babyface.
Wren Sinclair is getting her first shot at the NXT Women's Championship when she goes one-on-one with Kelani Jordan at Halloween Havoc, but as good as she is, we just don't think it's time for the leader of the "WrenQCC." We have Jordan going over here, with 83 percent of us putting our support behind "The Standout."
A good portion of this feud has centered around former NXT Women's Champion, and Sinclair's best friend, Kendal Grey, who is likely to be a factor in the bout. Jordan dethroned Grey, who was then sent to therapy in storyline, as she recovered during a bout of vertigo. Sinclair took matters into her own hands and attacked the champion, blaming Jordan for Grey's troubles, and she was suspended for it.
Sinclair disguised herself as Lady Shani to win the 20-woman battle royal to become No. 1 contender to the NXT Women's title, exercising a loophole in her suspension. The women last faced off in a promo on the October 20 edition of "NXT."
It feels way too early to take the title off of Jordan, though she recently appeared in the crowd during an episode of "WWE Raw" and could soon be getting called-up, as her husband, Carmelo Hayes, performs on the red brand. It also felt like Grey's title reign came to an abrupt end, so we're more inclined to believe Jordan drops the title back to her, as the real story right now feels as though it's between Grey and Sinclair.

To me, it has felt like the entire point of the Tony D'Angelo/Grayson Waller feud has been to rub Tony D'Angelo's nose in his failures. Him and Waller debuted around the same time. Waller went on to the main roster; D'Angelo has been stuck in Florida. It all feels like the kind of feud meant to teach the former WWE NXT Champion some humility on the road to regaining the title.
Unfortunately for D'Angelo, he has not been humbled enough for the Wrestling Inc. staff, as a whopping 100% do not think that he succeeds on Saturday. Grayson Waller's reasons for going back to "NXT" might be confusing, and he might feel like he's perpetually on the bubble with WWE, but he has something D'Angelo simply doesn't: charisma.
Waller is not my favorite wrestler, but damned if he isn't natural on the microphone. The feud with D'Angelo has really put a spotlight on how much better Waller is at talking than D'Angelo. D'Angelo has some canned phrases, and he can really lean into the relationship he's built with the "NXT" faithful over his many, many years in developmental. He has in-ring skills, and can wrestle a perfectly cromulent match, but he cannot hide how unnatural he is when it comes time to actually sell said match, as clearly shown by the way the Wrestling Inc. staff voted.
