Davies scored a brilliant goal from the edge of the box in last week’s 7-0 win against Cardiff Met, while hard-working Suckley also made a major impact.
Sugarman will be hoping for more of the same when Wrexham head south to tackle Barry Town United on Sunday.
Focusing on Davies, the head coach told the club: “Delighted for Pheebs. I think we all wait a long time for a Phoebe Davies goal and we kind of expect that they might be, like, bundled over the line or something like that.
“But, an absolute rocket from her, what a great finish.
“But, really nice, because, you know, it was a side-foot finish. She thought about the spot that she wanted to hit.
“She came on and struck it and, yeah, you could see not only the delight from her, but from her team-mates.
“Like, she’s such an important part of the squad. She’s such a valuable member of this team.
“We talk about it a lot, but she’s one of the people that’s... about more than just the football and, yeah, really, really pleased for her to get on the scoresheet.”
Also making her mark was Suckley who scored one goal and also hit the shot that led to an own goal in the second half.
Sugarman added: “I think first half, she was probably over-working at times.
“She was doing other people’s running for them without the ball. But, that’s what you know you’re going to get from Ava.
“She’s an absolute work horse and she’s a threat in the box. You know, those first contacts, we play first contact games in training and she’s always the top scorer in there.
“So, yeah, we’ve got multiple options in our front-line and Ava gives us something a little bit different to the others.
“Her running beyond, her box work and she’s been really working on, sort of, her intentional work inside the box, and what she’s looking to do with the ball when she gets it and I think you can see she’s reaping the rewards of that as well.”
Sunday marks the second clash between Barry and Wrexham of the season. Last month, the Reds prevailed 7-0, with Katie Barker grabbing two of the goals.
Barry are yet to win this season and they are in the bottom two, while Wrexham top the table, level on points with The New Saints.
The Saints will look to bounce back to winning ways at home to Aberystwyth, while Cardiff City can strengthen their title credentials with three points at Briton Ferry Llansawel.
Elsewhere, Swansea City go to Cardiff Met.
