Barrow AFC marks Remembrance Day with free veteran tickets

The Bluebirds face Eastleigh FC at the recently renamed Furness Building Society Stadium in the National League at 3pm on Saturday, October 31.

The clash has been designated as Barrow's dedicated fixture for Remembrance Day and veterans from both the home and away support can make use of the offer.

A club spokesperson said: "In what is our closest home fixture to Remembrance Sunday, we will be marking the day with a two-minutes silence prior to kick-off followed by a rendition of the Last Post as wreaths are laid to honour the fallen soldiers.

"To claim your free ticket, veterans will be required to provide a valid form of identification such as a Defence Discount Service card or other proof of veteran status.

"These tickets can be secured from today by visiting the Furness Building Society Stadium."
