Having lost each of their first five matches since gaining promotion last term, the Eagles ran in 15 tries to defeat a visiting Ellon side 101-0 on Saturday.

Ten different players went over the line for the Moray outfit.

Livai Maravou scored the first try inside five minutes and Mojee Ratukana and Toddy Tagivakatini soon added two more to put Kinloss 19 points ahead.

After half an hour it was 31-0 as Marcus Harrison and Paula Rokocua added to the tries, and when Maravou notched his second and Tim Johnson got in on the act, the home side had a 45 point lead at half time.

Eagles showed no mercy on a well-beaten Ellon team after the interval.

Johnson’s second try was followed by scores from Rokocua and J. Colley to bring the try tally into double figures.

Maravou completed his hat-trick for 73-0, and two tries for Colin Thompson sandwiched further scores from K Mataitoga and S Ratubalavu, earning Kinloss treble figures.

Last season’s National Bowl champions climbed off the foot of the table, and play host to Mackie on Saturday looking for more success.
