Arsenal are arguably the best team in the world right now.
Yes, the Gunners fell short in the Champions League final last year, but they dominated the Premier League, and there’s an argument to make that despite the result of the penalty shootout last year, Arsenal are better than PSG.
Of course, a lot of hard work goes into becoming this dominant a force, and that starts on the training pitch.
Speaking to Men in Blazers, Kai Havertz has now shared some insight into Arsenal training, and he’s named the two teammates who he hates coming up against at London Colney.
Havertz was asked to name who is the toughest opponent to face in training at Arsenal.
The German has to face off against a number of top defenders on a daily basis at Arsenal with the likes of Ezri Konsa, William Saliba and Jurrien Timber all undoubtedly providing tough tests.
However, according to Havertz, there are two other players who are the toughest to face in training.
“It’s a lot of hard people. Maybe Gabi Magalhaes, Declan Rice, one of those because they’re on it every day and they just have the mentality to want to be the best every day in training and that’s why it’s very hard against them,’ Havertz said.
Havertz isn’t the first player to make these sorts of claims about Rice and Gabriel.
Meanwhile, Gabriel’s improvement is there for all to see. Gabriel is one of the best in the world at this point, and that’s come through sheer hard work and dedication after being questioned previously as an Arsenal player.
This sort of hard work is what may well lead Arsenal to back-to-back Premier League titles.
