The champions were clinical as they ruthlessly swept aside Hearts at Celtic Park, scoring seven in a dominant Sunday afternoon display.
Martin O’Neill’s side gave supporters plenty to enjoy as they ran out 7-1 winners and moved four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Kieran Tierney opened the scoring before Benjamin Nygren quickly doubled Celtic’s advantage, with the hosts two goals ahead inside 10 minutes.

Callum Osmand then marked his first professional start with a brilliant double, putting the Hoops firmly in control before half-time.
Laurent Mendy pulled one back for Hearts, but a Jamie McCart own goal ensured Celtic went into the interval with a commanding 5-1 lead.
Camilo Duran added the sixth shortly after the restart, before Nygren completed the scoring with his second of the afternoon.
It was the sort of attacking performance supporters have been waiting for, with Celtic playing at pace and repeatedly punishing the visitors’ defensive mistakes.
There were encouraging individual displays throughout the team, while Jota also got another 45 minutes under his belt as he continued building his match fitness.
The challenge now is to carry that confidence into Thursday’s European meeting with Celta Vigo.
