Another big UFC name is headed for the wrestling mats.

A number of prominent mixed martial artists have been putting on singlets in recent times to appear in the surging Real American Freestyle organization.

Arman Tsarukyan has led the way as the most active UFC figure competing in RAF, and he will headline the next event against Dillon Danis in Las Vegas on October 23.

The likes of Bo Nickal, Belal Muhammad, and Merab Dvalishvili have also looked to stay busy with wrestling matches away from the UFC, and the latest to follow suit is Cody Garbrandt.

Who do you want to see battling it out on the RAF mats? 🤼

Some big names from the MMA world have already crossed over, including Khamzat Chimaev and Arman Tsarukyan.

Cody Garbrandt to wrestle ex-Bellator champion Sergio Pettis at RAF 15

Real American Freestyle will be in Chicago next month for RAF 15 at the NOW Arena. Headlining is former UFC champion Anthony Pettis, who welcomes retired MMA legend Donald Cerrone back to competition.

A recent announcement means ‘Showtime’ won’t be the only ex-UFC titleholder on the card — or the only Pettis.

RAF revealed that Anthony’s brother, former Bellator champ Sergio Pettis, will compete at the event against fellow promotional newcomer Garbrandt.

Wins have been few and far between in MMA for ‘No Love’, and he will hope those struggles do not follow him into a different sport on November 28.

Since Garbrandt beat Dominick Cruz at UFC 207 to become bantamweight king, he has lost eight out of 12 fights inside the Octagon.

After starting his 2026 campaign with a decision victory over Xiao Long in March, Garbrandt was knocked out by Adrian Yanez last time out at UFC 329 in July.

Sergio Pettis is also coming off a defeat, having had his two-fight winning run snapped by Mitchell McKee at PFL Chicago this past April.

Before that decision setback, ‘The Phenom’ was 2-0 in the PFL after outpointing Raufeon Stots and viciously KO’ing Magomed Magomedov with a spinning elbow.
