The Las Vegas Raiders scored 30 points and accumulated nearly 400 yards of offense in a heartbreaking Week 6 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Wide receiver Tre Tucker enjoyed a huge performance, registering five receptions for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Tucker continues to thrive in a contract year.
It was Tucker's second big-time showing of the season after he recorded 119 yards and a TD versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. The former Cincinnati standout is currently on pace for the first 1,000-yard season of his career. That's very notable with the 100th overall selection in 2023 in the midst of the final campaign of his four-year rookie contract.
Tucker possesses game-changing speed. Last year, a weak free agency class of receivers saw a similar speedster in Alec Pierce (teammates with Tucker at Cincinnati) land a four-year, $114 million contract from the Indianapolis Colts. Raiders fans may be surprised by how expensive Tucker ends up being.
The upcoming class of free-agent receivers could be headlined by George Pickens. Assuming Puka Nacua and Parker Washington are re-signed by their current clubs, Tucker could be among the most sought-after prizes. Spotrac currently has his market value at $13.6 million per season, but that figure will continue increasing if Tucker has the career-best year he's currently on pace for.
Tucker will be expensive if the Raiders choose to re-sign him.
