Duran can't shake Celtic disappointment despite joy of baby's birth

However, the whirlwind 24 hours was tinged with disappointment as his side lost the match.

The Colombian forward netted Celtic's only goal during a much-improved second half, but the team was already three goals down due to their poor first-half performance.

Despite the joy of his son's birth, Duran struggled to focus on the positives post-match.

He said: "I'm happy to see the baby is coming and I'm happy to score the goal.

"But obviously I'm really sad for the team losing the game.

"I'm really sad.

"Obviously we came here to get the win and try to get the three points.

"Or even one point, something positive for us.

"We couldn't but now we need to have a rest and focus on the next game."

The 24-year-old admits that the team's next Europa League game against Celta Vigo feels like a must-win following their opening two losses.

He said: "Yeah.

"Obviously we have to win the game, especially at home.

"We just need to get the results."

Duran has shown his versatility since signing in the summer, proving effective both on the wing and at centre forward.

He started wide in the recent match before being moved centrally.

Duran said: "I just do whatever job I've been given and I just try to do my best for the team.

"So that doesn't really matter."

With a troubling record in big games this season, Celtic now face a quick turnaround as they prepare to meet Hearts at home on Sunday.

The forward insists they will be ready for it.

He added: "We just need to prepare well.

"Obviously that's a big game.

"Like every game, we just need to prepare ourselves to get the results."
