The 20-year-old striker continued his rapid rise at Parkhead by netting twice in the first half against Hearts, further underlining why many inside Celtic believe he has a huge future ahead of him.
Watt came up against Osmand when Celtic faced Partick Thistle in a closed-doors pre-season match at Lennoxtown and was immediately struck by the youngster's intelligence and timing of his runs.
Osmand made an impact in the biggest games last season with crucial goals against Rangers and Hearts. But Sunday's display was his most complete performance yet as he thrived on the wing with confidence before being withdrawn at half-time as a precaution after feeling his hamstring.
Former Celtic striker Watt hopes the injury concern proves minor because he believes the youngster possesses a rare quality that cannot be taught.
Speaking on Clyde 1's Superscoreboard, Watt said: "I'm hoping it's not an injury because the boy's struggled with injuries. I seen enough of him last season to be excited. He works his socks off.
"But we played him in a pre-season friendly and his movement in behind, and I'm not exaggerating here, it was world class. His movement, I'm not saying he's a world class player, I'm saying his movement."
Osmand is in the Europa League squad and will be hopeful of featuring his hamstring twinge doesn't rule him out.
