ESPN's "College GameDay" is staying in the state of Utah for the second consecutive week when No. 9 Utah hosts No. 16 Houston in a matchup with massive Big 12 — and potentially College Football Playoff — implications.
The quarterback play should be top tier in the conference matchup. Utah's Devon Dampier, a third-year starter, has 1,412 passing yards with 15 touchdowns to four interceptions this season, along with 198 rushing yards and three scores. Houston's Conner Weigman is having a breakout season as a fifth-year senior, with 1,771 passing yards and a nation-leading 26 total touchdowns to only two interceptions.
BYU jumped to No. 2 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after upsetting then-No. 2 Notre Dame in Provo, Utah, in Week 7. Utah is hoping for the same result in Salt Lake City.
