Tom Brady Caught Cursing on Live TV Again During Fox NFL Broadcast: Watch

Tom Brady let another swear word slip during a live NFL broadcast.

On Sunday, November 1, the 49-year-old sports analyst was taking part in a football trivia segment during Fox NFL Sunday when he accidentally dropped an expletive. The moment happened while Brady was playing a “Who’s in Third?” quiz alongside fellow former quarterback and broadcaster Drew Brees, 47.

In a clip, the two were answering questions about quarterbacks who rank third in various all-time NFL records. However, Brady appeared to get mixed up on the final question, which asked who had the third-most career games with more than 300 passing yards, behind Brees and Brady in the first and second spots, respectively.

Brady confidently gave the wrong answer, shouting, “Drew Brees!” before immediately realizing his mistake.

“Oh, s---!” he added.

The former New England Patriots star briefly glanced off-camera before turning back toward the broadcast. He also appeared to say, “ope,” as he realized the profane expression had made it onto live television.

Brady's eyes widened, and he raised his hands in front of his face following the slip-up. Still, the moment didn't seem to bother the rest of the panel, as Brady, Brees and their fellow Fox NFL Sunday broadcasters quickly laughed it off.

The correct answer turned out to be Peyton Manning, who was revealed after Brady's accidental outburst.

This isn't the first time Brady has had trouble keeping his language in check during a live broadcast.

On September 20, the former quarterback was watching a replay of Washington Commanders star Jayden Daniels' injury alongside his play-by-play partner, Kevin Burkhardt.

Daniels, 25, suffered a dislocated elbow while playing against the Dallas Cowboys. As the replay showed the painful moment, Brady reacted from the Fox broadcast booth.

“Oh s---,” Brady said.

He quickly realized that his reaction had been picked up by the live broadcast and followed it with a brief apology.

“Excuse me,” he added.

The injury happened during the final play of the first half at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. Daniels' left elbow bent awkwardly as he tried to brace himself during the play. He was later taken off the field on a cart, wearing an air cast on his left arm with a towel covering his head.

Brady Previously Addressed Criticism of His Broadcasting Career

The latest on-air mishap comes as Brady continues to face criticism over his transition from professional football to sports broadcasting.

During a September 7 interview with Sports Business Journal, the seven-time Super Bowl champion dismissed claims that he isn't suited for the analyst role.

"It’s clickbait for people, and it’s something that people have no idea what they’re really glomming onto," he said, brushing off the criticism.

Brady joined Fox's NFL broadcast team after signing a 10-year, $375 million contract in 2022. He officially began working as the network's lead NFL analyst after retiring from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in February 2023.

While the move has brought plenty of attention, Brady suggested that some of the negative commentary is simply meant to stir up reactions.

"They just put it out there in the world and see what sticks," he explained. "So to me, I just focus on what I need to do to be prepared. That’s what I did as a player, and I go out there every week as a broadcaster and try to do the same thing."
