Bayern Munich has sent a clear message to everyone planning to visit Vincent Kompany in the hospital: football is strictly off the table.

According to Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), the club has instructed anyone visiting the Belgian manager not to discuss football with him. The priority is ensuring that Kompany can focus entirely on his recovery without the added stress of thinking about the team, upcoming matches, or the demands of his job.

It is an understandable decision, especially given the circumstances surrounding the Bayern Munich manager’s hospitalization. Football can wait. Kompany’s health cannot.

For a manager as deeply involved in every aspect ofthe club as Kompany, stepping away from football is easier said than done. The Belgian has built his Bayern Munich project around intensity, attention to detail, and an uncompromising commitment to getting the best out of his players. Even when he is not on the training pitch, it is difficult to imagine him completely switching off from the job.

However, this is precisely the moment when he needs to do so. Bayern Munich has plenty of people capable of handling immediate footballing responsibilities, but Kompany needs the time and space to recover properly.

The results, tactics, team selection, and upcoming fixtures can all wait until he is ready to return. There is no match important enough to justify compromising his recovery.

For now, the only thing that matters is Kompany getting better. Bayern Munich will deal with football when the time comes.
