Jenna Slattery scored her first for the side in the 7th minute with Paige Peake doubling Town's lead in the 34th minute.

Town let a two goal lead slip, however, with the game going to penalties.

Dominant first half

Town came out of the blocks fast, with Rosella Ayane being denied in the 4th minute by the Wolves keeper.

The Tractor Girls didn't have to wait long for their first goal though, with Slattery scoring her first for the club since joining from Hearts in the summer in the 7th minute.

Town worked the ball nicely on the right before Slattery was on the end of an Emma Lawton cross to fire home past the near post.

Slattery had another chance in the 27th minute, but her effort went over the crossbar.

Peake made it two for the Tractor Girls just eight minutes later. Jenna Dear's corner was not dealt with and Peake hooked the ball into the top left corner.

Letting a two goal lead slip

Town lost their clean sheet just two minutes after the restart, with Melissa Lawley scoring at the near post past Natalia Negri.

Town tried to regain their two-goal cushion with Dear striking the crossbar in the 66th minute with a long-range effort.

It was Wolves that got the next goal, though, with a brilliant goal from Abbi Jenner from 30 yards out.

The game ended 2-2, but with it being the cup, a penalty shootout took place to see who would win an extra point.

Substitute Meg Hornby saw her decisive penalty saved, meaning Wolves picked up the extra point.

Town return to league action next week at home to Sunderland.
