Chiefs RB Emmett Johnson wins Week 8 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week

The NFL has announced that Kansas City Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson won the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honor for Week 8. Johnson recorded 143 scrimmage yards (15 rushing and 128 receiving) and one touchdown in the Week 8 divisional loss to the Denver Broncos.

The Chiefs rookie beat out other nominees from Week 8, including Broncos running back Jonah Coleman, Las Vegas Raiders running back Mike Washington Jr., and Los Angeles Rams linebacker Wesley Bailey.

After the regular season, four players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on Instagram or X throughout January. Johnson and the Chiefs will coincidentally host the New York Jets this Sunday, who have players who have earned the same honor in recent weeks. Jets rookies David Bailey, Omar Cooper Jr. (Twice), and Kenyon Sadiq have each won the Pepsi belt.
