Jordynne Grace has been absent from WWE TV for several months, and the latest backstage reports suggest the company has no current plans for her return.

The former TNA Knockouts World Champion is reportedly healthy and has been around the WWE roster despite her absence from TV. WWE had previously considered pairing her with Ivy Nile in a new tag team, but those plans appear to have stalled.

WWE previously planned Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile tag team

According to Fightful Select, WWE had discussed bringing her back alongside Ivy Nile as a tag team. The idea was to start teasing their partnership later that month through vignettes that had already been filmed.

The team could have given both wrestlers a fresh direction. Reports also suggested that the pairing might have been linked to the trademarked name “Iron Built.”

However, WWE has yet to officially announce the team or reveal when Grace might return. It’s also unclear whether the previously filmed segments will eventually air or if WWE has decided to take things in a different direction.

For now, no confirmed return date for Grace has come to light. The latest WrestleVotes report also suggests that fans shouldn’t expect her to return to television anytime soon.

During a recent WrestleVotes Q&A, JoeyVotes and TC were asked about Grace’s status and when fans might see her return to WWE TV.

“The thing that I’ve heard recently is she’s not in the creative plans. That doesn’t mean they don’t want plans for her,” JoeyVotes said (H/T: Ringside News).

He also pointed to the crowded women’s division on SmackDown as a possible reason for her absence. Many superstars are already involved in ongoing storylines, leaving less time for others to appear on TV.

“They’ve got full-blown stories. They’ve got Fatal Influence, Charlotte’s group, Jade Cargill’s group. That’s one story. They’ve got Tiffany with the briefcase. They’ve got Nikki and Paige and Chelsea Green. That’s another story,” he explained.

As a result, Grace may have to wait for the right opportunity to make her reentry into television.
