The Cardinals played 72 offensive snaps on Sunday against the Rams. See how the playing time was split up.
In the Arizona Cardinals' 18-16 win over the Los Angeles Rams, 17 players participated in at least one of the 72 offensive snaps.
How was the playing time divided up? We have the numbers below.
The first number after each name is their snap count, and the second is the percentage. Players in bold were starters.
Did not play: Gardner Minshew II
Inactive: Carson Beck (emergency third QB)
Brissett’s passer rating (73.3) suffered because of one interception and no touchdown passes, but he was generally efficient with 218 yards on 24-for-35 passing (68.6 percent). The average per attempt was 6.23 and 9.1 per completion, which was higher than in several games.
Although failing to score a touchdown in five red-zone trips is a problem, there were still four possessions with 10 or more plays, including one for 14 and one for 15. There has to be some credit for getting into position for the six field goals that managed to help win the game.
Did not play: Evan Hull (played only on special teams; elevated from practice squad)
Inactive: RB Jeremiyah Love (injured)
Injured reserve: James Conner (eligible to return), Trey Benson
Head coach Mike LaFleur praised Knight in the days before the game and that support was rewarded. Playing significant snaps with Love out because of an ankle injury, Knight rushed for 80 yards on 15 carries (5.3 average) with a long of 31. He also contributed two receptions for 18 yards to end the day with 98 yards from scrimmage.
Allgeier struggled with 18 attempts for 38 yards (2.1 average) with a long of seven and added a 10-yard catch. Knight and Allgeier combined for 146 scrimmage yards. On the 15-play possession, there were 10 running plays, including a Brissett sneak for a first down on third-and-1.
Did not play: Devin Duvernay (played only on special teams)
The headliner is obviously Brooks, who bounced back from a third-down drop to make the outstanding 21-yard catch on the first scrimmage play after the Rams went ahead 16-15 with 47 seconds remaining in the game. He had one other reception for nine yards. Bourne led the group with five receptions on eight targets for 47 yards (9.4 average), while Wilson caught four of his seven targets for 32 yards. Virgil was not targeted on the three snaps he was on the field.
Did not play: TE Shawn Bowman (played only on special teams)
Pup reserve: Tip Reiman (eligible to practice)
Injured reserve: Hunter Long (eligible to return after Week 8), Jamison Geers
McBride had another seven-reception day, but for only 53 yards (7.6 average) with a long of 26. His other six catches totaled only 27 yards. Higgins contributed three receptions for 28 yards.
Did not play: C/G Hayden Conner, T Jedrick Wills Jr. (both played only on special teams)
Injured reserve: LT Paris Johnson Jr. (eligible to return, but won’t), G Isaiah Adams (eligible to return after Week 8), G Chase Bisontis
The line was solid, protecting Brissett who wasn’t sacked. Where the line is, however, with Jackson and Adams out results in the offense predicated on Brissett getting rid of the ball quickly.
