The Minnesota Wild picked up a 5-1 win over the Washington Capitals on Sunday, moving to 10-3-3 on the season. Not only are the Wild the No. 1 team in the Central Division, but their 23 points are good for second place in the Western Conference, just one point behind the Edmonton Oilers.
The Wild don’t get back on the ice until Tuesday night, in Philadelphia. On their day off Monday, though, the team got their fans excited with a long-anticipated announcement.
The new “Hometown Remix” uniforms are in and finally official. As expected, they are all black, with a light green and grey trim. The Wild are calling it “Superior Smoke Grey.” According to the MN Wild, they are built around the long winter nights in the State of Hockey.
The details built in are pretty cool. The primary logo stays on the chest, recolored to match, with a crescent moon now worked into it. On each sleeve, the Great Bear and Little Bear constellations and the North Star are pressed into the fabric.
The classic Wild M sits on the shoulders, done dark-on-dark so it blends into the jersey. Inside the bottom hem, a star and moon sit along a horizon line. On the back, the numbers use two shades, with a small star stitched above them.
Here is a closer look at the full jersey and its details.
