The exciting young player becomes the latest member of the Cougars squad to commit his future to the club as head coach Matt Bramald continues building his team ahead of the new campaign.
Cougars confirmed on social media that Matty Beharrell, Dan Parker, Jack Teanby and David Foggin-Johnston had all signed new deals too.
But those four had already been revealed as staying in a prior interview with Bramald, whereas Rushworth had not signed his contract by that point.
The second-rower joined Keighley a year ago, having made his mark playing for a struggling Newcastle Thunder side.
Originally from Huddersfield, the ex-Siddal junior used to be part of the Giants development system.
In terms of representative rugby league, Rushworth has featured for the renowned Northumbria University side, as well as England Students.
Rushworth has played 23 games across the forward line for Keighley, who are delighted to have retained him.
The club said: “Nathan has shown his commitment, determination and enthusiasm in a Cougars shirt, and his decision to remain at Cougar Park is another positive step as the club looks to build a competitive and ambitious squad for 2027.
“With preparations for next season already well underway, retaining players who understand the club, its supporters and what it means to represent Keighley is an important part of the Cougars’ plans.
“Nathan’s contract extension provides further continuity within the squad and reflects the club’s ambition to develop a strong group of players who are committed to moving Keighley Cougars forward.
“The Cougars are determined to build on the foundations already being put in place, combining familiar faces with exciting new additions as the club prepares for the challenges ahead.”
