After rumours of a previous bid started to swirl last weekend, another source has linked Mathis Albert with a Manchester City move.

According to Sport BILD, the Citizens have long shown concrete interest in signing the 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund prodigy.

The popular German tabloid has license to believe that City are reportedly prepared to make a €20million offer for Albert.

However, the ongoing disciplinary proceedings against the Citizens for breaching Premier League financial rules could be an obstacle.

Albert joined Borussia Dortmund from the LA Galaxy in 2024, since featuring once in both the DFB Pokal and one in the Bundesliga.

During the international break in September, he made his USA national team debut and scored in his second match in a win over Chile (4-2).
