Scottie Scheffler has been the dominant figure in professional golf over the past few years.
Scheffler has already won 22 times on the PGA Tour including four major championships.
The 30-year-old Texan has now been world number one for 180 consecutive weeks, and there is no sign that he will slow down anytime soon.
Scottie Scheffler has already drawn comparisons with some of the greatest golfers of all time, including the likes of Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus and he is unquestionably destined for greatness.
How did you end up falling in love with the game?
Meanwhile, Nick Faldo won 43 tournaments worldwide during his prime, including six majors. He also spent 97 weeks ranked as the world’s best golfer. So the Englishman knows what it takes to be the best.
In the past, Faldo has suggested that Scheffler’s grip is the only thing from his setup and swing that amateur golfers should copy.
However, there is one specific thing about the Texan’s swing which Faldo isn’t keen on at all.
Back in 2024, Scheffler was speaking to the media ahead of The Open Championship at Royal Troon.

The world number one responded when asked about his unique footwork throughout his golf swing.
“He (Faldo) was one of the guys that was pretty critical of it,” Scheffler said.
“Faldo approached me on the range at the Masters. He asked me about the methodology behind my footwork.
“And I was like, ‘I don’t really know, let me hit one normal and see how it goes’.
“So I hit one with traditional footwork and I turned around, and I was like, it just feels like I’m locked into the ground. I don’t really feel like I can hit my shots. Then I just kept moving my feet like I normally do and hitting good shots again.“
The key for Scottie Scheffler is that he maintains better control of his clubface than anyone else in the game. Regardless of how the 30-year-old returns his clubface to impact, and how weird it looks, there is no denying that he is the best and most consistent ball-striker in the professional game.
There is a lesson in that for all of us.
