Chiefs fans react to Chris Jones' controversial comments in Week 9

On Wednesday, Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones told the media that he doesn't "play for stats" amid the team's two-game losing streak.

Jones did not appear on Kansas City's stat sheet in the Chiefs' Week 8 loss to the Denver Broncos, having failed to register a tackle, sack, batted pass, or otherwise make any meaningful impact in the game whatsoever.

During a November 5 press conference, Jones seemed to flippantly dismiss his lack of production when answering a question, which caused some controversy on social media as fans digested the star pass-rusher's seeming lack of willingness to take accountability.

Take a look at Jones' full comments in this video, which was posted to Twitter by Mark Poulose of KCTV5:

While Jones probably didn't intend to make himself the target of criticism with his answer at Wednesday's presser, the Chiefs faithful let the former Mississippi State Bulldog know what they thought about his performances.
