Leeds United's Anton Stach celebrates scoring their side's first goal of the game with James Justin (left) during the Premier League match at the City Ground, Nottingham. Picture date: Saturday August 22, 2026.
You can always rely on Anton Stach to lean into the quirky side of his personality when it comes to his social media offering. This is after all the man who edited pictures of himself playing for Leeds to look like a Super Mario Bros. game or with him playing with a jetpack on his back.
Stach has been up to his usual tricks again today, but has it offered an indication of Leeds United's potential selection for the match away at Sunderland?
Head coach Daniel Farke revealed on Friday that he had "major doubts" over the fitness of Stach, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and and Noah Okafor, leaving Leeds potentially without their entire front free for the trip to the Stadium of Light. Stach, like Calvert-Lewin, was suffering with a foot injury, with Okafor potential ruled out with adductor issues.

While doubts will remain up until the team is announced on whether any or all of the players feature at Sunderland, Stach may have dropped a clue of his involvement after taking to his Instagram account to post a picture of himself mocked up as Batman stood in front of the Gotham Times newspaper with a headline that reads Sunderland v Leeds United, and today's date.
Stach is no stranger to an Instagram post, but the timing and manner of content have seen many Leeds United supporters suggesting the German midfielder has won his battle to be fit for today's game and is set to play.
