The Boston Celtics will return to play on their home court again on October 23, hosting the New York Knicks for their 2026-27 Home Opener, presented by TD, in front of a full crowd at TD Garden according to a press release circulated by the team. In his fifth season as head coach, Joe Mazzulla will lead a Celtics team that includes six-time NBA All-Star Jayson Tatum, per the release. This season, they have added NBA All-Star and four-time NBA Sportsmanship Award winner Mike Conley Jr., nine-time NBA All-Star Paul George, and 2025 NBA Champion Mitchell Robinson.

Returning Boston players include Luka Garza, Hugo González, Ron Harper Jr., Sam Hauser, Payton Pritchard, Neemias Queta, Baylor Scheierman, Jordan Walsh, Derrick White, and Amari Williams (two-way), relates the release. The evening will also feature the regular season debuts at TD Garden for the Celtics’ 2026 draft picks, Chris Cenac Jr. and Dillon Mitchell (two-way), along with newly acquired guard Devin Carter (two-way).

Prior to the start of the game, the release adds, fans will be able to enjoy a variety of interactive experiences at The HUB on Causeway, which will have a live DJ and photo opportunities building off of the Celtics’ “Different Here” campaign.
