Mark Robinson and Jimmy Smith's side went into this game off the back of being knocked out of the Suffolk FA Premier Cup by Walsham-le-Willows last week.
The young Blues had a tough first half against the Eagles, who opened the scoring through Donte Martin in the 11th minute, before Remi Ahazie-Shittu doubled their lead three minutes later and then Martin bagged his second in the 16th minute.
Chris Atherton pulled one back for Town on 29 minutes, but a minute later, Martin completed his hat-trick, before Hugo Bull scored Palace's fifth to make it 5-1 at half-time.
Makai Bernard-Ferguson scored the visitors' sixth goal just before the hour mark, with Atherton netting his second of the afternoon for Town in the 71st minute, the final goal of the game.
The young Blues once again included 16-year-old forward Freddie Francis, who is on two-week trial from National League South side Folkestone Invicta, having featured for Town U18s against Brighton in the Premier League Cup last week.
This results sees them sit ninth in the table and they return to action with a trip to league leaders Chelsea this Saturday.
