Stephen Curry went off in the Warriors’ win against the Timberwolves and tied a LeBron James record in the process.
Stephen Curry put on a show with 44 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Golden State Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-114. The 38-year-old was unstoppable, making six three-pointers and making the Timberwolves pay every time they sent him to the free throw line.
Steph had a whopping 16 FTA, and he made all 16, too. Help from Yaxel Lendeborg and Anthony Edwards’ absence were enough to ensure that Golden State secured the victory. Even when most are suggesting he is past it, though, Curry is still setting records.

LeBron James’ longevity is one of the main pillars of his NBA GOAT case. The King is still producing at a high level despite being well past 40 years of age. Well, Curry is showing that it’s not just James who can go toe-to-toe with Father Time.
Having already surpassed Michael Jordan in third place when it comes to one record, the four-time champion has now matched the King’s record.

“Stephen Curry has tied LeBron James for the most 40-point games after turning 35 years old in NBA history,” the Warriors official account shared after the win. This was Steph’s 15th 40-point game since turning 35, the same amount that James has managed. MJ is third on the list with 12.
This will provide a huge boost for the Warriors who were struggling to start the season. If Curry can get back to his best with Lendeborg evolving into a productive NBA starter, then perhaps their fans can start dreaming a little once more.
