Josh Allen enters Week 6 leading the league in rushing touchdowns

Bills quarterback Josh Allen entered Week 6 tied for 16th place in passing touchdowns, with seven. As to rushing touchdowns, he led everyone.

Allen’s eight touchdowns on the ground had him in first place, by himself.

If that continues, Allen would be only the third quarterback to ever lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns. Via NBC Sports research, Bills quarterback Daryle Lamonica did it in 1964 (with six) and Bears quarterback Johnny Lujack did it in 1950 (with 11).

Allen is on pace for 27. The single-season record is 28, set by LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006.

Allen has plenty of competition; Ravens running back Derrick Henry and Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs have seven rushing touchdowns each.
