Golden State Warriors forward Gui Santos would like to see his new teammate Yaxel Lendeborg improve on his celebrations.
The Golden State Warriors are set to take the floor for their season opener Wednesday night, on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers. Prior to the contest, Warriors forward Gui Santos discussed one of the main improvements he hopes to see from his teammate and recent No. 11 overall pick Yaxel Lendeborg.
"He needs to get some new stuff too. He's doing the same thing all the time, so he needs to get some new celebrations. We need to work on that too," said Santos, addressing Lendeborg's use of the "too small" celebration.
Lendeborg, who is likely to start for Golden State Wednesday in his first career NBA game, is hopeful to bring his collegiate success with him to the NBA level. Last season in an NCAA championship run with the Michigan Wolverines, Lendeborg averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks.
