This was the first meeting of the sides this season with Clarby coming into this one with only two defeats from their opening nine games, while opponents Solva had won two of their eight games.

Clarby took the lead with half an hour played on Saturday as Travis Jones scored his fourth goal of the season.

On the stroke of half time, Connor Wesley set up Jones to score his second of the game, leaving Solva with work to do to get back into the game.

Just four minutes into the second half, Solva pulled a goal back through Jay Thomas to give the visitors hope of turning the game around.

However, those hopes were dashed 10 minutes later as Jones scored again to complete his hat-trick and make it 3-1.

Jones then scored his fourth goal of the game in the 68th minute to all but seal the win for the home side.

Solva were unable to find a way back into the game and Clarby saw the game out to confirm their place in the next round.

On Saturday, October 24, the sides return to action in Division 2 as Clarbeston Road visit Merlins Bridge seconds while Solva are at home against Pendine.
