INEOS officially terminate appointment after four years

With INEOS facing criticism over their involvement at Manchester United, they have officially terminated a senior figure’s appointment.

INEOS officially terminate appointment after four years

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS have faced increasing criticism over their management of Manchester United, with the club enduring another deeply disappointing start to the season.

The British billionaire’s investment handed INEOS control of United’s football operations, with significant changes subsequently made to the club’s leadership structure.

Among those appointments was Jason Wilcox, who arrived from Southampton as technical director to help oversee the club’s football strategy and recruitment.

However, United’s performances have raised serious questions about whether those changes have delivered meaningful progress.

Michael Carrick’s side have recorded just two victories in nine matches this season, despite considerable investment in the playing squad.

Summer arrivals including Carlos Baleba, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos have yet to inspire a sustained improvement in results.

Criticism of the leadership recently extended into the dressing room, with Lisandro Martinez publicly questioning Wilcox following United’s Champions League defeat against Atletico Madrid.

As Centre Devils previously reported, Martinez declared: “I expect more from our technical director, I have to be honest.”

The Argentine also questioned whether Carrick had received sufficient backing, although he subsequently apologised following discussions with the manager and club leadership.

Meanwhile, a separate development has emerged elsewhere within Ratcliffe’s wider business empire.

INEOS officially terminate secretary appointment

According to official Companies House filings, INEOS INOVYN LIMITED terminated the appointment of Jenny Ellen McKee as company secretary on 30 September 2026.

The termination was formally registered on 2 October, alongside the appointment of James Richard Campbell as her successor.

McKee had held the position since November 2021, according to her LinkedIn profile, meaning the change follows almost five years of service.

Her professional background includes extensive legal experience across corporate transactions, energy, infrastructure and regulatory matters.

She previously worked for INEOS Trading & Shipping, PETRONAS Energy Trading and CMS Cameron McKenna.

Importantly, the Companies House filing confirms the termination of her statutory appointment, rather than her departure from INEOS altogether.

Her LinkedIn profile still lists her as Head of Legal for the UK and Nordics at INEOS Inovyn.

The change concerns INEOS’ chemicals business and is not a Manchester United executive appointment.
