Milan Finalizing New Long-Term Contract for Pulisic

Milan are ready to extend another of their linchpins after recently striking a deal with Strahinja Pavlovic, as they have an agreement in principle with Christian Pulisic. He’s fresh off his second goal of the season against Udinese, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The parties are ironing out the final details, and the renewal should be announced shortly. The USMNT star will add three years to his new contract, postponing the expiration date from 2028 to 2031. Despite some buzz about other teams being keen, he’s never been close to leaving. However, his dismal second half of the 2025/2026 season, marred by a lingering ankle injury, and the coaching change delayed the proceedings.

Pulisic had a relatively slow start this campaign as well after suffering a leg microfracture in the last World Cup game, but he’s looked at ease and re-energized under new Milan boss Ruben Amorim.  He has mostly featured as a no.10 and close to the box.

The 28-year-old moved to San Siro in 2023. He has so far accumulated 44 goals and 28 assists. Per La Gazzetta dello Sport, he’ll make €5M plus add-ons in the next few years.

Our Take on Milan and Pulisic

He’s pretty much the face of the team without Rafael Leao. While the scuttlebutt about a possible departure occasionally resurfaced, likely as a negotiating tool, it never made much sense for an American-owned team to sell him. He’s not quite a bona fide superstar, but he’s always produced at a decent clip when healthy. He and the team had all sorts of issues in the first half of 2026, but he seems to have righted the ship. Now they just have to keep him upright and engaged.
