Brighton and Bournemouth inquire about Lazio’s Kenneth Taylor

Brighton and Bournemouth have asked about Lazio midfielder Kenneth Taylor, according to Niccolò Ceccarini of TuttomercatoWeb. Lazio wants the Dutch international to finish the season in Rome. A summer bid is a more realistic prospect if either English club follows up on its interest.

Taylor has played in all 10 of Lazio’s Serie A games this season, scoring twice and adding two assists. He opened the scoring in the second minute of a 6-2 win at Sassuolo. Against Cagliari on Sunday, he combined with Tijjani Noslin in the buildup to Gustav Isaksen’s equalizer. Lazio won 2-1 to go clear at the top with 28 points from a possible 30.

Lazio bought Taylor from Ajax last January for a fixed fee of €16.85 million. The move ended nearly 16 years in Amsterdam for Taylor, who joined the academy at eight and went on to score 36 goals in 184 first-team appearances, winning two Eredivisie titles.
