The goalkeeper produced a superb display, making a number of top-class saves to keep Bristol City at bay.

Two stood out, from headers by Dom Ballard and George Tanner. The former was perhaps the pick of the bunch as he clawed the ball from the top corner.

"It was a special night for me," Toth told RoversTV.

"It's probably one of the best performances I have ever had. I need to watch the saves back.

"After the second save, I knew it was a good night. The first one I just tried to keep it out but I felt a lot of confidence from the second and that we could keep a clean sheet.

"I did everything right, I was quicker than the ball, set in time and I had good reaction. It was a good save."

Toth felt Rovers were not at their best and hopes for an improved display at the weekend.

That said, there are plenty of positives that they were still able to win and keep a clean sheet.

"It was a huge win for us," he said.

"We didn't play well, in my opinion but we found a way to win the game.

"The team deserve the credit for today. That's not the way we want to win game but we're pleased that we did win.

"Games like this, you don't have to explain how you won."
